Hello,

These past two days we’ve received an increase in emails and notes from artists, requesting for an extension ranging from a couple of days to more than a month. We understand that it is currently the holiday season and many artist are preoccupied with family gatherings. With that being said, we will provide an extension for artists who have yet to complete their entries. The latest we can extend the deadline to is January 30th.  We still recommend and urge artists to send in their entries by December 30th so we can begin organizing and assembling the book with our Layout Designer, but if for any reason you cannot make it, please do send it in prior to the newly extended deadline. The sooner, the better since our aim is to finish printing the art book by April. We would also like to take the time and extend our gratitude to the artists who have already completed their entries and sent them in ahead of the deadline. Thank you very much for your co-operation!

Good luck everyone!

FAQ

Do I have to draw a a famous monument/destination in the background for the country I have chosen?

It is not mandatory. You can choose to draw anything you’d like in the background as long as it relates to your chosen country. We just need to be able to see some sort of connection + visually similar elements between your artwork and the country you have chosen.

What if something comes up and I am not able to submit my file on time?

If you are struggling to complete your piece on time. Please email us at least a week in advance so we can discuss and talk it over. If enough people are struggling with the final submission date and contact us in advance, we may even extend the due date by a day or two for final submissions.

Will artists get a free copy of the art book?

Our goal is to provide artists with free copies of the art book but that is entirely dependent on how well the orders go. If we are able to cover the offset of printing/publishing costs + meet the minimum pledged donation requirement, we will certainly provide each artist with their own copy.

How do I advertise for the preorders of the art book? What percentage of artwork am I allowed to show online prior to pre-orders?

You can advertise the pre-orders by making a journal and linking the group in the journal, and/or post a preview of your art piece and link the group to it. Please show only 40% or less of your final piece for the preview.

What is water.org?

Why did you decide on donating the profits to a water based charity?

The ocean covers 71% of our world's surface and contains 97% of our planet's water. Even so, 780 million people lack access to clean water. More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes. As you may see, Water is one of the basic most needed elements for human sustenance and is vital to our existence. Because of this we have chosen to donate to water.org
Hello everyone!

Now that the artist list has been decided, we kindly ask each member to either note or email us your top three desired countries. Subsequently, each member will be placed into a randomized draw (via a computer generator) to ensure equal opportunities. Kitayame and I will then use the randomized list to assign everyone their country. If an artist's top preferred country has already been selected by another artist, we will move on and select their second choice and so forth.

We ask that members please submit their desired countries to us no later than Sunday September 14th, 2014

You can send this group a note of your list-
or you can send us an email at: WorldOfWondersAB@gmail.com

Thank You!
Hello Everyone!

Applications for the public have now opened.

(*NOTE: you may only sign up on behalf of yourself, any friends or associates must sign up separately to avoid any confusion*)

Public applications will run until September 1st, 2014. After this date we will sift through the comments and add artists based on artwork quality. We will then finalize the artist list and promptly begin the country registration.
